I am obsessed with sheet masks and when I heard about the Esiwia 3D Snail Serum Facial Sheet Mask from Taiwan, I knew I had to try it. I'm always a big believer of snail secretion on my skin and I have a ton of snail skincare products so I knew I was going to love this one. 

My skin type is oily and I have pretty normal skin (non-sensitive) so this mask did not have any negative effect on me thankfully. I used the mask three times over the course of a week and a half before writing out this review as I wanted to see the changes in my skin.

The mask comes in a box of 5 and I love the gold and sleek packaging. 

The mask is meant to improve your skin with anti-anging properties by targeting these main concerns

1. Reducing Pigmentation

2. Reducing Wrinkles

3. Firming

4. Whitening 

I do not have any obvious wrinkles or fine lines on my skin but I do have a slightly uneven skin tone and my skin is pretty dull as I use makeup pretty often. My skin is occasionally acne-prone but with proper skincare, its manageable. This photo above shows my bare skin before using the mask.

I liked that the mask is thin and soaked so that all the product gets on my skin perfectly. The main ingredients in the mask are snail secretion and mandelic acid.  Snail Secretion Filtrate, formally referred to as snail mucin, is packed with nutrients such as hyaluronic acid, glycoprotein enzymes, proteoglycans and antimicrobial and copper peptides. The benefits of it are:

1. Stimulates the formation of collagen and elastin

2.Repair damaged skin; and

3. Restore hydration 

The key benefits of mandelic acid are:

Rub the excess product into your skin for maximum absorption.

After the mask is done, my skin was glowing! I believe frequent use of this mask will truly improve my skin. I really love how smooth and hydrated my skin feels after every use and I do see a slight brightening effect on my otherwise dull skin.

I was lucky enough to be invited to Simplistiq, an aesthetics clinic here in Singapore for consultation and nose fillers. I chose nose fillers because I always thought that my nose bridge was low and curved downwards, making it a chore to wear sunnies or even my glasses. 

I always preferred a slightly higher and and sharper nose as well. This is my second time doing the nose fillers so I was pretty psyched as Dr YZ Tan of Simplistiq used the Belotero® Intense fillers instead on me because the results will look a lot more obvious and the formula is slightly stiffer so the bridge will look a lot more obvious.

Dr YZ Tan was super professional and he didn't beat around the bush. He told me the pros and cons for my specific nose shape and did what he knew was best for me. I had the hyaluronic fillers  done from the tip of my nose all the way up to my bridge to elongate my nose. The process was pretty painless as there will be a numbing cream applied before that.

As you can see, my nose here right after is swollen as per normal but the bridge is lifted up. I had to wait a week to see the results and I was just so excited! A good thing to note is to avoid smoking, drinking or strenuous exercising in the next 3 days from application of the fillers. The fillers will typically last about 8 to 10 months or slightly longer if you do not smoke.

This photo above was taken immediately when I reached home on the day of the filler insertion and you can truly see the lifted bridge on my nose!

A week later, the results were truly amazing. Its been a month or so and my fillers are still intact and manageable. I highly recommend coming here to do your nose fillers as the whole process was so smooth and amazing.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the international launch of Givenchy's new product for 2016,  the Teint Couture Cushion Portable Fluid Foundation. It is basically a foundation in a compact, just like the 'Korean'-style BB creams and foundations.

Personally, I do not prefer this method of putting my foundation on because the compact sponge it comes in will get contaminated if you do not wash it constantly and it is tough to wash in general, as compared to a beauty blender.

However, I was very excited to try it because I have always been a fan of Givenchy's Prism Libre loose powders. I was given one to try, together with a very sweet gift of a full sized Givenchy Live Irresistibly perfume.

My only gripe was that I could not pick a shade for myself, and ended up with shade 4, basically the darkest shade of the range of 4 colours (the darkest shade really isn't that dark so the colour selection is bad. However, I did appreciate the very nice gift from Givenchy and will still put the foundation to good use.

The packaging is extremely sleek with a glossy finish on the outside. This will retail for S$83 at Sephora Singapore which made me question whether this is actually better than my Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation and Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Foundation (both slightly cheaper than this).

When I swatched the foundation, I set the sponge aside as I really have a phobia for sponges like this  lol! Anyway, the foundation came out looking very light, and I could tell it had a pinkish undertone, which of course, does not suit me. However, I was raring to see how the formula turns out.

When I first swatched with my fingers on my hand,  I could tell the foundation is sheer, and I wasn't unhappy as it did not claim to be. It is stated that it is for a 'fresh and flawless', hence it is supposed to be non-cake-y and I suppose, more natural.

After a second swatch, I could see that it is not buildable and it stays sheer throughout. The only big thing I noticed was that the foundation oxidises like crazy into a very orange-y finish. However, only after trying it on my face, will I be able to tell the wear time! I'm still excited to try this in a video, even though you guys know I love full coverage, oil-free and matte foundations. However, since this did not claim to be, I know people who love sheer coverage and a fresh face look, will fall in love with this!

This year end, you will probably be receiving invites for parties or for holiday dinners with your pals or family member and the big question is, what lip colour would you wear?

Now, while I do not have the biggest MAC lipstick collection, I do love the formula of the lipsticks, especially the matte ones. As I've been leaning towards liquid lipsticks recently, I thought, why not revisit the cult favourite lipstick line?

As for many folks out there too, stepping into a MAC store or counter is like entering a dreamland of colours and possibilities (yes, I'm exaggerating but really!).  The first colour I have been loving for the longest time is matte shade called - MEHR.

Before I purchased Mehr, I did ask the MAC sales assistant for a recommendation of a 'matte, nude and pinkish shade'. To which she replied, "So do you want nude or pink?" I was horrified inside so I just said a combination of both. 

I did feel like she was judging me a little, like I was a complete newbie at make up and I know NOTHING. Oh well, nevertheless, I still got a few items that day and pretty much, Mehr became my favourite shade of all time. It still is now!

Hang Up is a Cremesheen shade and is the perfect deep plum colour that is not too in-your-face. Although the formula of this does not last as long, the shade is one of the darker shades I pick up most frequently. Plum shades are always in at this time of the year!

After Kylie Jenner popularised the brown lip, I found myself picking up Whirl more often. I did enjoy slightly over-lining my lips like she did (I usually use MAC lip liner in 'Buerre' with this lipstick), and this could be a stellar combo for you this winter.
